Teresa Mudrow was recently crowned Mrs. Elite Oregon 2012 for the America's Touch Of Class Pageant. The national pageant will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the summer of 2013.
On a personal note, Teresa has been married to her best friend, Jeff Mudrow, for eighteen years and they have one child in middle school. Another important member of the family is her Huskador (Husky-Lab Mix) puppy. She enjoys traveling to other countries with her family, watching her son's soccer games and playing with her puppy.
A graduate of Warner Pacific College with a B.S. in Human Development, the new Mrs. Elite Oregon 2012 is an elementary educator. In the times of economic struggles, she is proud to teach at a private, Christian school that provides scholarships for students in need. Dedicated to the youth in her community, Teresa gives her time and talents to many volunteer opportunities within the school. Active in the community, she serves as the VP of Membership for the Modoc Toastmaster Club and is a hostess for the Miss Klamath County/Miss City of Sunshine Scholarship Pageant.
With abuse and violence on the rise, there is a need in communities around the world to pledge to put an end to it. Teresa is proud to promote her platform, “Hands and Words are for Helping…Not Hurting.” She was introduced to this simple, yet effective, program through her current job to address bullying in the schools. It is her goal throughout her year to bring more attention to stop bullying and advocate for HANDS & WORDS ARE NOT FOR HURTING PROJECT®.
